On November 11, CACEM commended the winners of National Quality Project Award of Year 2014-2015, in which Sinosteel MECC was awarded for its JSL 1.2mtpa Pelletizing Plant Project contracted in India.

As part of National Quality Product Award, the Award represents the highest honor in the aspect of engineering construction quality. Meantime, being the earliest and most demanding award in engineering construction industry, its scope of selection includes metallurgical, coal, petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, electrical, water conservancy, nuclear industry, forestry, aerospace, construction materials, railway, highway, municipal, water transport, telecommunication and building construction fields.

The JSL 1.2mtpa Pelletizing Project was contracted by Sinosteel MECC on EP basis with the whole process from iron ore concentrate receiving to pellets stocking. The construction scope includes whole plant engineering, supply of equipment and material, supervision of installation and commissioning, personnel training and production instruction. The project, adopts world advanced grate-chain palletizing process and also represents the highest level of Indian palletizing production technology and equipment. It was greatly evaluated by the client and creates two records of shortest time to start operation and reach designed capacity among similar projects in India. As one of the 5 rewarded overseas projects, it wins good market reputation.
