On the morning of September 16th, President Lu Pengcheng and Mr. Dong Da, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice General Manager of SINOSTEEL MECC, visited the headquarters of Shougang Group and communicated with its President Mr. Zhang Gongyan on the construction of the 3mtpa iron and steel project in Huoqiu, Anhui Province as well as other topics jointly concerned by both parties. 

Mr. Zhang Gongyan warmly welcomed the visit of Mr. Lu Pentcheng and also appreciated the SINOSTEEL MECC’s support to Shougang Group over the past years. Mr. Zhang hoped both parties to continuously strengthen communication with each other and further deepen the strategic cooperation partnership to realize win-win and joint development under the special circumstance with high pressure of economic downturn and transformation and reconstruction of iron and steel industry. Mr. Lu appreciated the warm welcome of Mr. Zhang and gave a brief introduction about the current development situation of SINOSTEEL MECC.

Both parties discussed the fields and projects for future cooperation, deeply communicated the situation and future work of the 3mtpa iron and steel project in Huoqiu, Anhui Province and exchanged ideas on the problems commonly faced. They expressed the willing to jointly conduct the work related to risk prevention, accelerate the resumption and good development of the project in Huiqiu as well as further expand the friendly cooperation.

The principals from Development Planning Department and Law Department of Shougang Group and relevant departments of SINOSTEEL MECC also attended the above activities.
