On December 28, 2009, the circulating economy industrial zone in Mian county of Hanzhong city, Shaanxi province ceremoniously celebrates the commencement of the project. 10:18 in the morning, the re-construction project after earthquake for the integrated technical modification of the Shaanxi Hangang Group is formally commenced. Li Jianping, mayor assistant of Hanzhong city and chief of State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the city in Shaanxi province, Li Baoyu, mayor assistant and chief of National Development and Reform Commission of the city in Shaanxi province, main leaders of Mian County, president of Tangshan Baoye Group, general manager and vice general manager of Hangang Group, Liu Andong, vice general manager of SINOSTEEL, Lu Pengcheng, general manager of SINOSTEEL Equipment and Engineering Co., Ltd. and Dong Da, vice general manager taken part in the commencement ceremony.

The total investment for the phase I project of re-construction after earthquake for integrated technical modification of the Shaanxi Hangang Group is up to 3.63 billion Yuan. SINOSTEEL Equipment and Engineering Co., Ltd. undertakes one set of 1280 m3 BF, one set of 265 m2 sintering machine, one set of 14 m2 pellet vertical kiln and relevant auxiliary facility. The construction period is 14 months. After completion of this project, it will greatly prompt the upgrading of iron and steel industry in Hanzhong city to realize circulating economy, energy saving, emission reduction and clean production to meet the requirement of re-construction after earthquake, prompt the iron and steel industry adjustment and implementation of restoration plan in Shaanxi province and consolidate the role of Shaanxi province as bridgehead in the great western development.
