The State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C issued patent letter, pneumatic auxiliary skimming device, developed by Sinosteel MECC, was granted utility model patent (patent letter No.: ZL 2008 2 0234178.2).

At present, skimming machine was commonly used during the skimming operation of smelting process. Due to slag floating on the surface of hot metal, part of hot metal, together with the slag, was skimmed into slag tank, resulting in loss of molten iron. Sinosteel MECC’s professional and technical personnel designed this pneumatic auxiliary skimming device, made slag gathered at the hot metal tilting direction, which make the skimming machine can remove slag into slag tank in smaller scope, reducing the hot metal loss, and making greater economic benefits at lower cost.

The pneumatic auxiliary skimming device is another patent letter of Sinosteel MECC issued by SIPO, following the reactive power compensation, sinter head flume desulphurization device, overall pouring ladle distributor, mixer with vacuum casting material mouth, core mold for ladle overall casting, high-temperature melt container full automatic stamping devices, etc. It indicates that Sinosteel MECC achieves another important achievement after its customer needs oriented ethic and adherance to the road of independent innovation.
