Recently, the comprehensive utilization of waste heat and pressure project designed by Shijiazhuang Design & Research Institute of Sinosteel MECC for Binxin Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. in Jiangsu Province was formally put into operation.

Redundant blast furnace gas of Binxin Special Steel will be utilized for the 40MW high-temperature high-pressure turbo-generator unit built for the project, the engineering and process equipments of which are all world advanced level. From the beginning of production, the generator unit has reached its full capacity of maximum 44MW. The project saves electricity consumption equivalent to over CNY 20million every month for Binxin, becoming a new benefit-increasing point and is well reviewed by the company.  

The successful production of the project not only further strengthens the deep cooperation between Sinosteel Shijiazhuang Design & Research Institute and Binxin Special Steel, but is also a great achievement of the Institute after the business restructuring strategy.
