On Sept.20^th, 2008, 10m² shaft furnace of Cangzhou I&S Complex Phase I was successfully put into production, contracted by SINOSTEEL MECC. 1# furnace was heated up at 10:38, and smoothly produced quality pellet ore at 16:58. Up to then, shaft furnace pelletizing and sintering project, two project that provides BF with qualified burden in Cangzhou I&S Complex Phase I, have been completely put into operation.

2×10m² shaft furnace pellet plant for Cangzhou I&S Complex, contracted by Sinosteel MECC, with designed capacity of 1.1MT and annual production of 1MT, includes engineering, equipment and material supply, civil work and construction, as well as installation and debugging to final business operation. Sinosteel MECC has making great effort to deal with all the difficulties since the ground breaking in Aug, 2007, ensuring the expected goal of simultaneous putting into production with 1# BF. This project is the first shaft furnace project since Sinosteel MECC has had abundant references on grate-kiln pellet projects both in domestic and overseas, extending company’s pellet plant contracting reference and accumulating valuable engineering materials and management experiences.

To date Sinosteel MECC work team for this project are working hard to ensure the shaft furnace’s stable operation.
