At 21:00 on Sept. 18^th, 2008, No.1 2350m³ BF had formally began to sent gas to16.5×104 m³ BF gas holder, which is contracted by Sinosteel MECC and put into operation on Sept. 15th. Until 01:00 on Sept. 19t^h, requirement for storing 104 m³ gas has been satisfied. So this will be as a symbol, i.e. 16.5×104 m³ BF gas holder of Cangzhou Zongheng Iron and Steel Complex contracted by Sinosteel MECC put into operation.

The BF gas holder height of Cangzhou Zongheng Iron and Steel Complex is 91m, its diameter is 53m, it is equal 24-side equilateral and its effective capacity is 16.5×104 m³. Sinosteel MECC is responsible for all the contents of process design, equipment design, equipment manufacture, civil work, equipment installation & commissioning, final commercial operation and delivering to Owner for using. The successful operation of gas holder will provide facilities for ensuring the overall operation of Phase I project of Cangzhou Zongheng Iron and Steel Complex. Now, the technical staffs at site of Sinosteel MECC are trying their best to stick to their posts and they uninterruptedly monitor the BF gas holder for 24 hours to ensure the stable operation of gas holder.
