On Nov 30th, SINOSTEEL MECC successfully put the No.5 Coke Oven of ISDEMIR (Turkey) into production after heating-up for 3 months.

In June and July of 2004, SINOSTEEL MECC signed contract with ISDEMIR to supply with No.5 and No.6 Coke Ovens and related coke oven machines. Under the contract SINOSTEEL MECC is responsible for design and construction of two sets of 65 chamber coke ovens and related coke oven machines in turn-key basis. The two sets of coke ovens are designed with 1.3 mtpa capacity. Presently No.5 coke oven is running well and is in the stage of trial production. No.6 coke oven will also be heated up on Oct 27, 2007.
