On June 28th, the acceptance test of Chonggang 240 m² sinter machine expansion project contracted by SINOSTEEL MECC was held in Chongqing Iron & Steel Co.,Ltd (CQGT). After complete, careful summary and evaluation over the project by the experts from SINOSTEEL MECC, Anshan Engineering & Research Incorporation of Metallurgical Industry (AERIMI), Chonggang Engineering Construction Co. LTD., Chonggang Design & Survey Institute, Chongqing Sanhuan Inspection Corp., Changgang Sinter Plant, Chonggang Documentation Department, and Chongqing Metallurgical Construction Quality Monitoring Station, leaders with Chonggang declared that the project successfully passed the acceptance test. The contracted project was initiated on Oct 30 2003, and its no-load interlink commissioning was finished on Feb 28th 2005. After Mar 8th when its hot commissioning was successful, its trial production was initiated, and in May was its production test.

After the evaluation by experts organized by Chonggang group, all parameters have matched or been superior than the design requirement. The output in May already reached 242312 tons, 4712 tons more than the designed capacity. Sinter machine utilization factor is 1.589 t/m2.h. Physical characteristics of finished products and energy consumption level are all acceptable. Such features as environment, safety, sanitation etc, also meet the requirement of the contract, state standard, and standardized engineering acceptance. The successful achievement of Chonggang 240m2 Sinter Project is not only the satisfactory answer sheet that SINOSTEEL MECC turned in to Chonggang, but also a new milestone of SINOSTEEL MECC in the field of sinter engineering.
