On 11th of March 2004, the steel making, continuous casting equipment supplied by SINOSTEEL MECC and China Metallurgical Industry Planning & Research Institute(CMIPRI) are successfully tested for the first time. So far, it is at the stage of normal production.This project include two sets of 5 tons electrical furnaces (include dedusting system), one set of R4/9.738m small billet continuous casting machine of two machine and two strands, two sets of bridge-type cranes. Its annual design capacity is to produce 60,000 tons of continuous casting billet. The commission of this project is well evaluated by the end-user and relative department, and it makes SINOSTEEL MECC become more famous.
