It indicates that the transformation project of rectangular billet produced by 5 # round billet continuous caster has entered the stage of comprehensive acceptance.

The existing 5 # continuous caster in the converter steelmaking plant of Tianjin Rongcheng United Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. is a 6-machine and 6-flow round billet continuous caster with a radius of R12m. In order to meet the product demand of rectangular billet in the market, the continuous caster was upgraded. The renovation project signed a contract on January 31, 2018, at the same time began the system design, and synchronized equipment orders. On April 25, 2018, the equipment installation was completed, the system debugging began, and the system debugging was completed on April 28, 2018.

In the early stage of the project, the project department actively responded to the requirements of the construction unit, visited the site with the design department many times, collected the requirements of the construction unit and the use department, and collected the basic information of the system design. The design department worked overtime and efficiently, completed the design of the system before the Spring Festival, and bought valuable time for equipment purchase and ordering.
