Since the contract signing on July2007, everything went smoothly for the 4100mm plate mill project with Chongqing Iron& Steel Corporation Limited. All the design works have been in full swing, and the main process equipments have begun to manufacture.
Double-stand four-high reversing tandem mill is to be adopted for this project. The whole project will be constructed by two phases. During phase I, the main product line from heating to rolling and shearing will be finished, and the capacity will be 1.3MT/a. During PhaseII, the reheating furnace and all the subsidiary facilities will be completed, and the capacity will reach 1.5MT/a.
