On Sep.24^th, 2009, production ceremony of Chongsteel 4100mm plate mill project was held in Chongqing city. Mr. Wang Hongju(Mayor), Mr. Huang Qifan(Executive vice-mayor), Mr. Tong Xiaoping(Vice-mayor) and other government leader and principle of related department present in this ceremony.

At 10:38 of that day, the first plate of 4100mm tapped off, marking the successful put into production of Chongsteel Removal Project---4100mm Plate Project, contracted by Sinosteel MECC in EPC basis.

This project is the single largest project contracted and built by Sinosteel MECC. The workshop area is approx. 120,000 square meters. More than 20,000 tons of steel structures are used. Equipment weight exceeds 30,000 tons. Concrete quantity is around 130,000 cube meter. The investment is approx. 2 billion RMB. The product can satisfy with the requirements of aircraft carrier used steel plate, and is salable in shipbuilding industry.

Chongsteel Removal Project is a state key project, listed in No.3 document of state council, and is principle project of Chongqing Eleventh Five-year Plan and No.1 project of 2009 industry invest.
