BACK SINOSTEEL MECC Signing Contract for Low-Temperature Fume Power Generation of Wuhan Iron & Steel
RELEASE TIME:2007-04-29 SHARE:

After painstaking negotiation and joint effort by both parties, Sinosteel MECC signed the contract in Wuhan for low-temperature fume power generation project for Wuhan Iron & Steel on April 25, 2007.

According to the contract stipulation, Sinosteel will be responsible for supplying 3 sets of residual heat boilers and 1 set of 33MW extraction steam condensing turbine power unit for Wuhan Iron & Steel Sinter Factory’s 3 sets of 435m2 sinter machines. The project is the largest low temperature residual heat power unit in China to date, with capacity of 23.6KWh per ton of sinter ore, which may satisfy 35-40% of power consumption of Wuhan Iron & Steel.

Low temperature fume residual heat power generation is based on three key techniques, namely first waste fume scientific echeloning exertion, second residual heat recovery technology and equipments with low power consumption and high efficiency, third, management and coordination between the production and power generating systems. Using the core technology to build up the residual heat power generating project may bring considerable benefit in favor of the environment and economy of the project owners. The contract signing for the power generating project marks the new breakthrough by Sinosteel MECC with respect to the low temperature fume power generating project, and also lays a solid foundation for the further market exploration of power generation.
