At 15:38 on January 27, 2010, with the smooth hot metal tapping of 3# 2350 m³ BF as mark, the first stage of the phase II project of the enterprise undertaken by the company completely started up and operated. Up to now, the enterprise has a comprehensive production capacity of 4 million t/a and it is another important mile stone following the successful construction of the phase I project in the enterprise undertaken by the company in September 2008.

The phase II project is implemented in two stages, where the first stage includes one set of 2350 m³ BF, one set of 150 t converter and caster, one set of 240 m² sintering machine, 2 sets of 55×6 m coke ovens, one set of 50000 m³ gas holder, and 2 sets of 1780 mm walking beam reheating furnaces. Since commencement of the first stage of the phase Ii project, based on the success experiences in the phase I project, the company overcomes the difficulties as serious influence of international financial crisis and cross execution of production of phase I and construction of phase II to organize all resources for delicate organization and strict management to ensure the smooth completion and startup of the first stage of phase II project and effectively eliminate the execution pressure and financial risk of the company and it again demonstrates the abundant power of the company for construction of comprehensive large iron and steel complex.

Currently the company is actively organizing the engineering technical and project management personnel for the assistance of the first stage of phase II project. Meanwhile, the second stage of phase II project is under smooth execution in accordance to plan. All personnel of the company will further endeavour to stick to the spirits as Union, Down-To-Earth, High Efficiency and Forwarding to strictly control business risk to strengthen the strategic cooperation relation between the company and the enterprise to prompt the development of Handan Zongheng Mode to continuously improve the company’s comprehensive and systematic integrated service capability and contribute to the establishment of perfect credibility of SINOSTEEL.
