On April 23, 2009, the second Top Pressure Recovery Turbine system for 600m3 blast furnace of Chengde Zhaofeng I&S Group Co successfully passed through trial test and was put into operation. This project was just come into success after Sinosteel MECC’s team managed to complete its first TRT system on September 26, 2008, which is contracted by Sinosteel MECC on EPC basis.

Since the commission of the TRT system, the top pressure of these two sets of blast furnace is stable, the TRT units are kept in good working condition. Average power generation quantity respectively reaches 3500KW/h and 3000KW/h, which are both accomplished, even exceeded to the designed requirements. High appreciation was extended to Sinosteel MECC from the client. These two successful projects further strengthen the experience of TRT and waste heat recovery projects of Sinosteel MECC.
