On Jan 18, 2009, the low temperature fume power generation project for Wuhan I&S successfully completed hot commissioning and connected with local power supply network.

This contract was signed in May, 2007, which was the biggest sintering low temperature fume power generation project in China. According to the contract stipulation, Sinosteel MECC’s scope comprises construction of 3 sets of residual heat boiler and 1 set of 33MW extraction steam condensing turbine power unit for 435m2 sinter machine in Wusteel sinter plant.

The successful construction and operation of this project brings considerable environment and economic benefit for Wuhan I&S Co. and is good for the energy saving and sustainable development of the company.
