On Sept. 24^th, 2008, Sinosteel MECC successfully put the first phase C-battery into production in JSW 1.5MT stamping COB project.

Sinosteel MECC signed the 1.5MT stamping coke oven contract with JSW in March of 2006. Under the contract, Sinosteel MECC is responsible for engineering, equipment and material supply of four sets of 56-chamber stamping coke oven as well as for supervision guidance of civil works, erection, and commissioning, construction period is 26 months. Presently coke oven C is putting into production this time, coke oven B has already been put into production on Jun. 27th, 2008, the other A, D batteries will also be put into production in the near future.
