On October 31st, the hot commissioning of Liuzhou I/S (Group) Medium Continuous Rolling Project was achieved once for all successfully by SINOSTEEL MECC.

The project is the key technical renovation of Liuzhou I/S (Group) for the Tenth Five Year Plan, with designed annual capacity of 600,000 tons including 10#-18# I bar, 10#-25# Channel, 8#-16# Angle and Φ40-75mm round bar, and with guaranteed finishing speed of 6m/s. The complete rolling line applied short strength ring mills of continuous rolling, and is the most advanced section steel continuous rolling production line domesticated in China. The working scope of SINOSTEEL MECC includes non-standard equipment design, electrical design, reheating furnace EPC, main process line mechanical and electrical equipment manufacture, software programming and site commissioning.

The successful construction of the project reflects that the capacity of SINOSTEEL MECC to fulfill EPC contract in this field has been improved to a new level taking the leading position of China. And now Liuzhou I/S project group is working hard to prepare for the final acceptance test and production of the project.
