On December 26, 2019, the completion ceremony of Minguang Pelletizing Plant contracted by Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Co., Ltd. (Sinosteel MECC) for Sanming Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. was held in Fujian Province.

The project, with the application of the most advanced travelling grate pelletizing technology independently developed by Sinosteel MECC, is the first gravelling grate pelletizing plant with intellectual property rights and know-how, as well as domestic main equipments.

The project will produce 2 million tons oxidized pellet to replace all outsourcing pellet and part of sinter feed, reduce the emission of 247 tons dust, 308 tons sulfur dioxide and 246 tons nitrogen oxides, and save the consumption of 56000 tons coal.
