BACK "Sintering Machine Head Flue Gas Bag-type Dust Removal" — Reapplication of Globally Leading Independent Technology

Recently, the 2x230m2 sintering machine head flue gas bag-type dust removal project, undertaken by Sinosteel Tiancheng Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "China Steel Tiancheng"), for Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgy Co., Ltd., has commenced operation. Currently, the entire system operates steadily with the following achievements:

  • Dust removal equipment operational energy consumption reduced by 30% compared to before the transformation.
  • The dust emission concentration at the outlet of the dust collector is 5-10mg/Nm3.
  • Air leakage rate is less than 2%.
  • Average filtration resistance is 600-1000Pa.
  • Synchronization rate with the sintering machine is 100%.


The project commenced on December 5, 2022, underwent trial operation on February 5, 2023, and officially started production on February 10, 2023. It utilized the independently developed "Sintering Machine Head (Pellet) Flue Gas Bag-type Dust Removal Technology," recognized as internationally leading by Sinosteel Tiancheng. In response to the specific conditions of the customer, the Sinosteel Tiancheng team also incorporated a spray fire extinguishing system and installed a mesh spark capture device on the imported horn to enhance dust removal efficiency and improve project stability.

The stable operation of the project witnessed the inaugural application of Sinosteel Tiancheng's independently developed sintering machine head bag-type dust removal technology, coupled with activated carbon desulfurization and denitrification co-purification. This achievement marks a dual improvement for Shenglong Metallurgy in economic development and green environmental protection. Prior to this project, the two parties had extensive cooperation in dust removal for blast furnaces in the ironmaking plant, dust removal for the raw material plant, and dust removal for the sintering plant.
