On February 16, 2014, startup of oven B for the 1mtpa coking project of JSW DOLVI was successful by smooth one-time coke pushing and qualified first class coke produced. Equipments were operating stably.
The coking project consists of 2 sets of 5.5m stamp-charging coke ovens, which is the first one going into operation of the kind that has been exported to India by Chinese companies, and by-product recovery.
With constant commitment, careful planning and strict management, the JSW and Sinosteel MECC teams worked together to ensure the expected startup of the project, demonstrating the technical level and management capability in undertaking international large scale coking project.
In recent years, Sinosteel MECC has completed SISCO 400,000t non-recovery coke oven, JSW 1.5-Mtpa and 1.9-Mtpa stamp-charging coke oven and Usha Martin 400,000t non-recovery coke oven projects in India. The successful startup of these projects are highly accepted and recognized by final customers, which resulted in significant effect in coking market of India.
