At 14:00pm local time on July 10th, 2014, the 2#600MW Supercritical Coal-fired Unites contracted by Sinosteel MECC for ICDAS Bekirli in Turkey was successfully brought online at full load and also passed the acceptance inspection by local government.

Sinosteel MECC singed the EPC contract in June, 2011, with ICDAS for the 600MW Supercritical Coal-fired Units, covering engineering design, equipment and material supply, technical supervision and commissioning of the units. As the first large thermal power project undertaken by Sinosteel MECC, it received great attention from the company. The project was carefully organized and managed and has overcome various difficulties. Chinese advanced boiler, turbine and generator were used and key instruments were purchased abroad, which guarantees high efficiency and low operation cost of the units. During the construction, Mr. Zhang Qingyang, the Consul General of China in Istanbul, visited the project site to give guidance. Leaders of Sinosteel MECC also have visited the site many times for coordination and instructions. The successful grid-connection of the units was high regarded by the client and also made a significant mark in the thermal power business filed of Sinosteel MECC.

The saffs of Sinosteel MECC at present are working tensely at the project site to escort the early completion of 72-hour reliability test.
