On Jan.23, 2009, No.4 coke oven battery of Baosteel Bayi steel plant was successfully put into production, boosting the coking capacity by 1.1mt per year of the steel plant.

Technicians and project managing experts from Sinosteel MECC put great effort on this project, which had ensured the successful operation before 2009 Chinese New Year and received high appreciation from Baosteel. The contract of Baosteel Bayi steel plant coking project phase II was awarded to Sinosteel MECC in August, 2007 on EPC basis.

This project comprise No.3 and No.4 coke oven batteries, each of 55 ovens with 6m carbonization chamber, one set of 140t/h CDQ and by-product recovery system. No.3 coke oven battery was put into production in October, 2008.
