On Nov.16, 2008, finishing mill housing was successfully assembled in Sinosteel MECC’s subcontractor, China National Erzhong Group Co., which is one of the critical equipments for 4100mm plate mill project of Chongqing Iron & Steel Group Company. The single housing weight is 340t, and manufactured in China Erzhong with Sinosteel MECC’s technical support and quality supervision. During the manufacture period of mill housing, Sinosteel MECC has making great effort to cooperating with China Erzhong, fulfilling the obligation of investigation and supervision, endeavor to ensure the technical standard of equipment. Our engineers are busy working on the proposal of housing transportation and unloading now. In addition, other equipments will also be put into assembling hereafter in succession, paving the way of commence operation on schedule.

This project is the first indigenous heavy plate project designed and manufactured by Chinese companies. Sinosteel MECC is honored as the general contractor again after long-term successful cooperation with Chonggang for different project EPC contracting.
