At the Apr. 30th, 2008, the celebration about the ignition and preheating for hot blast stove of 1# BF for phase 1 project of the Cangzhou Iron and Steel Complex, which was undertaken by the SINOSTEEL MECC, was held at the construction site of Cangzhou Project. The leaders of SINOSTEEL MECC, Zongheng Industrial Co.Ltd. and Tianjin 20th Metallurgical construction Engineering Corporation as well as relative personnel had attended this celebration on the behalf of Contractor, Owner and construction unit respectively. Meanwhile, the leaders of Sinosteel Trading Companies, Sinosteel Raw Materials Company, Sinosteel Iron and Steel Company, Sinosteel Shipping and Forwarding Company and the represents of relative departments also had attended this celebration on invitation.

As the command from president-Sun Jimu of Zongheng Industrial Co.ltd at 10 A.M., the preheater for hot blast stove of 1# BF was ignited formally and 3 silica brick top combustion stoves had been ignited and preheated successfully. From this, the Phase 1 construction work for 1#BF of Cangzhou Iron and Steel Complex, which was undertaken by SINOSTEEL MECC, had been finished. From the 1# BF was put into operation at the June 20th, 2007, SINOSTEEL MECC had made efforts to conquer difficulties, such as zero work of site, lagging of design and bad construction conditions. However, SINOSTEEL MECC had scientifically organized and managed the construction to ensure the construction of 1#BF would be went well. The preheating for hot blast stove of BF has been realized within only 10monthes, which created the shorted cycle record of similar project construction at both here and abroad.

The preheating for hot blast stove of 1# BF was continuously undertaken for 32 days and then the preheating for BF proper would be carried out. Now, hot load run test and start-up of 1# BF will be deemed as the key link for the run-test and start-up of various projects of Cang Zhou Iron and Steel Complex by SINOSTEEL MECC. According to the scheduling of material object take-over agreed with Owner, SINOSTEEL MECC has arranged the test-run and start-up of Phase 1 various project in regular sequence, so that each item of Phase 1 project could be delivered to Owner on time.
