On June 27th, SINOSTEEL MECC successfully put the first coke oven battery into production in JSW 1.5MT stamping COB project.

In March of 2006, SINOSTEEL MECC signed the 1.5MT stamping coke oven contract with JSW, India. Under the contract, SINOSTEEL MECC is responsible for engineering, equipment and material supply of four sets of 56-chamber 4.3m stamping coke oven as well as for supervision guidance of civil works, erection, and commissioning. Presently coke oven B is running well and is in the stage of trial production 26 months after the contracting. The other A, C, D batteries will also be put into production in the near future.
