On Nov.10, 2008, ISDEMIR 3050 m³ BF project came into large-scale equipment installation stage. The column of furnace structure was erected, indicating the commencement of large-scale installation. The equipments supplied by Sinosteel MECC according to the contract have already been delivered to site. The steel structure and equipment installation, undertaken by Turkish contractor, should be started up and carried out gradually. Up to now, drawings for the erection work have been submitted. The majority of site civil work has been completed.

As the biggest BF constructed abroad by Chinese enterprises presently, Sinosteel MECC’s contract covered the scope of the engineering, equipment supply, site construction service and furnace opening guide supply.
