The achievements of  "Technology and Applicationn of Industrial Flue Gas Multi-pollutant Control" and "Technology and Application of Ultra-low Control on Multi-process Multi-pollutant of Iron & Steel Industry" co-completed by Sinosteel Tiancheng Environmental Protection & Technology Co., Ltd. (Sinosteel Tiancheng) were awarded respectively the first and second prize of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award. 

The President of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora, and head of the Ministry of Mining and Metallurgy (MMM), Ramiro Villavicencio Nino de Guzman, announced on June 18 the reactivation of the construction of Mutun Steel Plant, contracted by Sinosteel MECC on EPC basis, in the ceremony held in Puerto Suarez of Santa Cruz.

On December 1st, 2021, Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Co., Ltd. (Sinosteel MECC) concluded a USD 1.096 billion EPC contract with TOSYALI Group to expand the capacity of its steel complex in Algeria.  Sinosteel MECC will be the general contractor of the fourth stage, after delivering the 2.3mtpa DRI-based steel complex in 2018.

The successful production of long steel production line of Fangchenggang steel base of Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group on May 22, 2020 marked another milestone of Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Co., Ltd. (Sinosteel MECC) following the start-up of 7.5m large-capacity top-charging coke oven battery.
