SINOSTEEL MECC was in receipt of the down payment and the Letter of Credit from ICDAS Turkey for its 1.2 million tons bar mill project on Mar 12, 2007. Since then the contract under the project formally came into effect, and the performance of the project started after that.

In the wake of supplying ISDAS with the first and the second bar rolling line respectively in 1999 and 2003, SINOSTEEL MECC successfully won the contract to construct the third bar rolling line of ICDAS. SINOSTEEL MECC’s working scope covers design, equipment supply, installation and commissioning supervision. Compared with the past two bar rolling lines, the third one is featuring even larger capacity, more complex process, higher technical requirement, and shorter construction period. But based on the technical strength of ours, also with the support from SINOSTEEL Xi’an Heavy Machinery Co. Lid, SINOSTEEL MECC signed the contract on Feb 2007 after careful preparation for the bid.

The signing and performance of ICDAS 1.2 million tons bar mill project further strengthen the SINOSTEEL MECC’s foothold in Turkey market. While making full use of the resource of SINOSTEEL Group, MECC actively pushes forward the cooperation and integration between the technical and manufacturing sectors within SINOSTEEL Group.
