The first furnace of hot metal from the No.4 Blast Furnace in Turkish ISDEMIR Steel was outflowed at local time 8 o’clock of Aug.18th 2011 which signified that the biggest overseas Blast Furnace and Sinter Machine Project contracted EPC by Sinosteel MECC among Chinese enterprises was put completely in to trial operation.

Basing on the model of EP plus Technical Supervision, the contracts of 3050m3 Blast Furnace and 300m2 Sinter Machine in Turkish ISDEMIR Steel were signed separately in 2005 and 2006 by ISDEMIR Steel Corp. of the Turkish biggest steel& iron making company OYKA group. Since all technical conditions and requirements achieved international advanced level, the project is one of the most important industrial projects in Turkey in recent years.

It spent five years for construction. During this period, the owner’s shareholders were moved, top management was exchanged and financial crises interrupted the construction. However facing so many difficulties, people from Sinosteel MECC had worked calmly and together so as for not only withdrew all of the contract value on time through negotiations, but also set well technical and commercial terms for Project restart and follow-up execution, which showed comprehensive capacity of Sinosteel MECC for big and important overseas projects.

In recent years, Sinosteel MECC have engaged in realizing the national “go-out” development strategy meanwhile have utilized his marketing capacity and integrated social resources so as for not only introducing domestic metallurgical processing technology and design into Turkish market, but also put in motion of national complete equipments exportation.
