On Nov.12, 2008, equipment concrete groundwork of rough mill was successful poured for 4100mm plate mill project of Chonggang, indicating the overall developing of civil work and steel structure fabrication on site.

Sinosteel MECC has making great effort to deal with all the difficulties since the ground breaking in order to keep the construction completion according to schedule. Main steel structure workshop will be finished in February, 2009, and the large-size equipment foundation construction can be completed by late March.

Chonggang 4100mm Plate Mill Project is a turn-key project which was contracted by Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Co., Ltd. It is the first one in the Chonggang removal project, being highly concerned both by Sinosteel MECC and Chonggang. The EPC contract was signed in July, 2007, granting construction period of 20 months.
