BACK SINOSTEEL MECC Contracting For 1,500,000t/y Recovery Type Coke Oven Project of JSW In India

At present SINOSTEEL MECC was officially informed of the final confirmation by JSW board of directors over its 1,500,000t/y recovery type coke oven project and that the contract was put into effect since April 19, 2006. The total contract will be worth of 48.03 million US dollars, with construction period of 26 months.

According to the contract, SINOSTEEL MECC will design and construct four sets of 56-chamber stamp charged type coke ovens with annual capacity of 1.5 million tons for JSW. SINOSTEEL MECC will be the general contractor to supply all design and equipments, together with the supervision for civil work, construction and commissioning. In order to guarantee the construction schedule and smooth production of the project,

SINOSTEEL MECC now is coordinating various parts of work and establishing its quick response technician team for the project. This stamp charged type coke oven contracted by SINOSTEEL MECC for JSW is the largest stamp charged type coke oven project acquired by China in the overseas market. JSW is the subsidiary company of the second largest private iron & steel company JINDAL Group in India. Among the furious competition participated by lots of world famous companies, SINOSTEEL MECC was awarded with the contract, showing her great competence in the overseas market. The project will also pave the way for SINOSTEEL MECC to further explore in the metallurgical engineering market in India.
