At 18:28 on Sept. 15th, 2008, Phase I No.1 2350m³ BF of Cangzhou Zongheng Iron and Steel Complex contracted by Sinosteel MECC had been successfully ignited and produced hot metal of first heat at 12:08 on Sept. 16th, 2008, and then undertaken hot load test-run. The successful production of BF for delivering hot metal and gas will be as the precondition, and then the 150t converter and continuous casting, 240m² sintering, 10 m2×2 shaft furnaces, lime kiln, 16.5×104 m³ gas holder and reheating furnace for hot rolling will be put into production successively. So this will be as a symbol, i.e. the first large scale Iron and Steel Complex contracted by Sinosteel MECC is going to overall put into production.

From the starting of Phase I 200 million t projects of Cangzhou Zongheng Iron and Steel Complex in the Jun., 2007, Sinosteel MECC has overcome the shortage of human resource, bed weather on site, quite lagging of design and bed construction conditions, and organized carefully, so the construction of Phase I BF gas holder, pellet of shaft furnace, lime kiln, sintering machine, BF, converter and reheating furnace for rolling had been finished within only 15 months. It fulfills the successful change of Sinosteel MECC from general contracting of single project to general constructing of Iron and Steel Complex, fully realizes the large scale operational ability of MECC, accumulates valuable experiences for test-run & putting into production of similar domestic or oversea metallurgic projects, trains qualified personnel for our company, enhances the integrated operation & management abilities of our company, realized comprehensive and systemic service principles of our company, deepens strategic cooperate partnership of Sinosteel with Zongheng Iron and Steel Complex and has the important significance of setting good image for Sinosteel. For this reason, President Huang Tianwen, Secretary Zhang Hanguang, Vice President Jiang Hong, Vice President Li Zhimin and Chief Accountant Liu Andong extended their cordial greetings to Sino-steel Equipment Engineering Co., Ltd. and expressed gratitude to all personnel of Sino-steel MECC involved in the project of Cangzhou Zhongheng. Now, Sinosteel MECC is organizing the staffs to try their best for ensuring the successful putting into production of Phase I No.1 2350 m3 BF for Cangzhou zongheng Iron and Steel Complex and providing facilities for realizing overall putting into production of Phase I Project.
