On November 20, 2020, Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Co., Ltd. (Sinosteel MECC) signed contract to supply an 1mtpa high speed bar & wire mill for Sichuan Chuanzhong Construction Material Co., Ltd. (Chuanzhong) on EP basis.

The project consists of a high speed bar & wire rolling production line and auxiliary facilities including power supply, water treatment as well as gas and heating supply. Scope of Sinosteel MECC includes engineering, equipment supply and installation. The 600,000tpa high speed bar mill will produce rebar in the range from 10mm to 32mm diameter and 400,000tpa high speed wire rolling line will produce wire rod in the range from 6mm to 16mm diameter.

Multiple self-developed long product rolling technologies and equipments of Sinosteel MECC will be equipped. Controlled rolling and cooling technology and 330mm modular mill will provide flexible controlled cooling and large size low temperature rolling.
