BACK Sinosteel MECC is Awarded Contracts over US$ 400Million from Tosyali
RELEASE TIME:2022-09-29 SHARE:

“Winning the bid for pellet plant and beneficiation plant is a symbol that Sinosteel MECC is reinforced in self-developed and green low-carbon technologies and consolidates our cooperation with Tosyali”, said Hua Guanglin, General Manager of Sinosteel MECC.

In September 2022, Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Co., Ltd. (Sinosteel MECC) was awarded the contracts to build a 4mtpa travelling grate pellet plant and a 4mtpa beneficiation plant in Algeria, as well as a 1.7mtpa beneficiation plant in Angola by Tosyali, with total value over US$ 400million.

As a follow-up cooperation after the EPC contract of Phase IV of Tosyali Steel Complex in Algeria in the fourth quarter last year, the pellet plant and beneficiation plant will further integrate the process from raw material to finished products green and efficiently. The Angola project will use dense medium iron ore beneficiation process, which is the first time for Chinese company to implement in overseas EPC projects, and also expands Sinosteel MECC’s border of international business.

As the second travelling grate pellet plant for Tosyali, this 4mtpa pelletizing project is still applied with Sinosteel MECC’s self-developed travelling grate pelletizing technology and employs BIM360, CFD numerical simulation, and digital delivery. The  process consumption at full magnetite production is lower than 18Kgce/t.

The 4mtpa beneficiation plant is either to grind coarse-grained hematite of high grade or process magnetite of low grade through grinding and magnetic separation to high grade, as feed for pelletizing and ultimately suitable to DRI.
