As the main general contractor of Shenglong's technical upgrading and revamping project, Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Co., Ltd. (abbr. as Sinosteel MECC) has undertaken the units of material yard, sintering, iron making, steel making and steel rolling, as well as their auxiliary facilities, implementing consistently the philosophy of green, eco-friendly, effective and sustainable development.

Since the signing of the contract in March 2018, Sinosteel MECC has carried out comprehensive, deep and detailed preparation and coordination. Guided by the principle of "high quality, high productivity, low consumption, long life and environmental", the advanced smelting technology and equipments, including fine material, high air temperature, high top pressure, oxygen enriched coal injection, were adopted for blast furnace engineering. The main technical and economic indexes, as well as the equipments all measure up to advanced standard among similiar blast furnaces in China.

The blast furnace life of first generation is 12 years and hot stove will serve for 25 years. The comprehensive long-life technology of furnace body is designed: short and fat furnace type, thin lining structure; full cooling wall (cast iron cooling wall + copper cooling wall); water-cooling mouth steel brick; combined soft water closed cycle cooling system; water-cooling carbon brick thin hearth structure with thermal imaging. The hot blast stove is top burning with high efficiency, equipped with gas and combustion supporting air heat exchanger to realize high air temperature.
