On June 8, 2020, coke oven battry No.2 of the by-product coke oven battery turnkey project undertaken by Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Co., Ltd. (Sinosteel MECC) for PT Dexin Steel Indonesia (Dexin Steel) starts production. 

Dexin Steel, with a total investment of US $980 million, is located in the Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP) in Central Sulawesi Province, with a scale of "3.5 million tons + 1.5 million tons reserved". It is a large steel complex integrating coking, sintering, ironmaking, steelmaking and steel rolling. The company's main products are bars, wires and some billets. After putting into production, it will become the largest long process steel enterprise in Indonesia.

Sinosteel MECC was awarded the contracts of 2x230m² sintering machines, 3x600t/d lime kilns, 100,000m² raw material yard and  1.3mtpa by-product coke oven battery in October 2017.  

Sinosteel MECC started the constrcution works in July 2018. The first coke was pushed at 22:00 on June 8, 2020, which marked another milestone after the production of sintering machine No.1 in this March.
