The twin high-speed bar rolling line undertaken by Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Co., Ltd. (Sinosteel MECC) for Hunan Valin LY Steel is successfully hot tested and becomes China's first domestic double high-speed bar rolling line in operation. Sinosteel MECC's scope includes engineering, equipment supply and technical supervision.

The main processes applied in the project consists of advanced hot direct rolling, high temperature hot charging and double hot rolling independently developed by Sinosteel MECC with intellectual property rights, at a maximum finishing speed of 45m/s. The processes allow low OpEx, high productivity and promoted product quality.

China's largest 260mm heavy-duty modular mill, single driving 260mm sizing reduction blocks and intelligent cooling control equipment, manufactured by Sinosteel MECC, are integrated to achieve the flexible controlled cooling and large-size low temperature rolling. 

By successfully hot testing the project within only five and half months, which made the fastest construction record in China and even around the world, Sinosteel MECC consolidates its leading position in long product rolling field.
