On Nov 15^th, 2006, SINOSTEEL MECC signed EPC contract with Xinjiang Bayi Iron & Steel Co. Ltd to supply the No.1 and No.2 Coke ovens for its newly established factory area, with total contract value of 785.6 million RMB and construction period of 12 months.

According to the contract, SINOSTEEL MECC will constructed 2 sets of 55-chamber 6m coke ovens, as well as one set of 140t/h coke dry quenching system and one set of chemical product recovery system with annual output of 1.1 million tons. Presently SINOSTEEL MECC has established special working team to guarantee the smooth performance of the contract and future operation of the project.
